We’ve been regular supporters of Oxfam and other charities to do with developing nations. I like the aim of world peace and justice for all mankind, although I know it is part of the selfish nature of man that this may never happen if left purely in the hands of man. I wasn’t going to be philosophical, so I’ll stop that line of thought.
Why a donkey? Well Oxfam have an unwrapped idea for gifts. We bought something from them last year. The great part of the idea, is that the gift does not go to anyone you know. You send a card to the person and it has a voucher saying you bouhgt a donkey, camel, goat, toilet block, teaching, fresh water supply, buckets, midwifery training etc. etc. Take a look. Try this one, feed 200 kids for less than the price of taking 2 kids and an adult to see Wallace and Gromit and the Curse of the Were-Rabbit (which was very funny by the way)
