Breakfast cereal varies around the world. In the UK wheat biscuits are called Weetabix, but here in NZ they are called Weet-bix. I think the name varies around the world. They taste different too. Maybe it’s just the difference in the wheat used.
When I was a kid, I remember being baby sat by Janice Futter. (She had been living in South Africa for a few years. We’d been back from SA a couple of years, but Mum and Dad knew her before they went to SA.) She called the cereal ‘Weetbix’ and I whispered to Lynette that she’d called them something wierd. Janice told me it was rude to whipser about people in the room. True.
