Tom has just has some spelling tests and came out top in his class and school. Several other kids were also way above their ages, but Tom scored at 12.5 years. Considering he is the youngest kid in his year, I’m stunned. Others scored 8 but none of the teachers have ever seen anything like it. He is five years old but spells well. Except for reading and writing he is a very normal 5 year old. To be honest I’m glad he doesn’t behave like his 12 year old brother 🙂
Speaking of Ben he was one of a three man team who entered the BP Challenge and represented his school. They were the top placed team for years 7-8 and came third overall in the prepared challenge. They were the top intermediate school and second overall. Maybe he’ll be an engineer? They were competing against colleges (14-18) so they did very well. Not sure how old the oldest competitors were, but I doubt they were 18. Still proud of him though.
