We had a fun Christmas with friends and enjoyed the sun when it made an appearance. Sam was unwell for a few days, so our plan for going away were cancelled. We did make it out a few days though. The kids enjoyed a day out in Wellington, visiting the Botanical Gardens and going on the cable car. Simple things.
Everyone except Sam spent New Years Eve at the home of the Harveys. It was a fun night with plenty of kids and adults to have a chat to and play with. Kristian decided to go swimming in the pool in the park next door, in just his underwear. He was not alone 🙂 There was plenty of food and it was warm enough to be outside for most of the evening.
We also spent a day travelling to Cape Pallisder and seeing the seals and the light house. It was a hot day, which was nice. I pulled onto a beach to take some photos and got stuck. Thanks to Shane for bring his truck and pulling us out. Photos will be posted soon.
